Bill, that guitar is a thing of BEAUTY! ![]() ![]() This is where it get's scary....I would love to sub out the finishing but there is just not enough room in the build budget for that so...I will making my first attempt at KTM9 on this guitar. I have done nitro and really like the results but I just don't have a good place to do that. |

Great looking guitar. It should finish up great. I love the celtic look. How do you like working with the wood inlays? (they look great by the way) |
Great looking guitar. It should finish up great. I love the celtic look. How do you like working with the wood inlays? (they look great by the way)
I prefer working with wood because the dust is less hazardous....but the choice of materials is always decided by the look and style that I'm after. |
WOW!! NICE WORK AND ONLY GUITAR NUMBER 4!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Sure...all my inlay work is cut by hand, jewelers saw etc...and I get allot of practice ![]() Is there a specific part of the inlay that you have a question about? perhaps I could then be more specific. |

Bill, I'd like to know how thick (deep) you like your inlay wood before it's in place and leveled. The same for the solid wood portions of your rosette. Thanks! |

Thanks for the pictures - incredible! If you had described this without the pictures I would have said it wouldn't 'gel' - but your design and execution are a very pleasing whole. You know, my own progress beyond 4 finished guitars is being hindered by seeing what other people have done. Now, I am constantly focusing on the NEXT one and not finishing what's already mid-build! ![]() |
